Behrend Staff Volunteers for Habitat for Humanity

Photo Gallery

Erie, Pa. – For the fourth straight year, the Penn State Behrend athletic department staff volunteered to help build a home for an Erie family through Habitat for Humanity on Thursday. The staff split into two groups of 12 people and worked four hour shifts each.

Habitat for Humanity is non-profit organization dedicated to eliminate substandard housing and homelessness worldwide and to make adequate, affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action. Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and rehabilitates simple, decent houses alongside the homeowner families.

In addition to the staff, the Behrend athletic teams and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will also be volunteering for Habitat for Humanity throughout the school year.
