ERIE, Pa. – For the 10th time in 11 years, Penn State Behrend has won the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) President’s Cup. This award is presented annually to the institution which accumulates the most points in conference competition among the 14 sports sponsored.
The President's Cup is based on final regular-season order of finish for the team sports and the conference tournament/meet finish in individual sports. The Lions collected 105 points during the 2010-11 season to retain possession of the cup for the seventh straight year. Penn State Altoona was a close second with 90 points and Pitt-Bradford was third with 71 points.
The Lions won the AMCC Championship in men’s swimming and diving, women’s swimming and diving and women’s tennis. The men’s soccer team earned 10 points for winning the regular-season title, while women’s soccer and men's basketball finished runners-up.
