Bukowski, Steele Named AMCC Athletes of the Week
Nathan Steele and Evan Bukowski have been named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conferece (AMCC) Athletes of the Week.
ERIE, Pa. – Nathan Steele (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) and Evan Bukowski (Washington, PA/Trinity) have been named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Athletes of the Week.
Steele, a junior outside hitter, was named Men’s Volleyball Player of the Week. He had double-digit kills in four out of five matches this week while posting a .420 hitting percentage. Against Thiel, the junior posted 17 kills and four digs. In a win over Keuka, Steele earned a double-double with 14 digs and 12 kills.
On the week, Steele had 61 kills to average 3.39 kills per set. He is currently ranked fourth in conference for hitting percentage (.325) and sixth for kills per set (2.8).
Bukowski, a senior catcher, was selected the Baseball Player of the Week for leading the Lions to a 2-2 week. He hit. 700 with three walks, three runs scored and a stolen base. Bukowski went 7-for-10 and did not allow a stolen base while throwing out two runners.
He is currently tied for first on the team with 16 hits and is second with eight runs.
