Lions Win Presidents Cup
ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend Athletics won eight Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Team Championships, accumulating 110.5 points and being honored as the best overall athletic program with the Presidents Cup for the 12th time in 13 years.
The Lions earned conference crowns in men’s and women’s cross country, women’s soccer and men’s golf in the fall, before winning men’s and swimming and diving along with men’s basketball in the winter. The Behrend baseball team capped off the spring with its fifth AMCC title to secure the trophy for the eighth straight season.
Medaille is in second place with 73.5 points with three Conference Championships and Penn State Altoona was a close third with 72.5 points and one AMCC title.
The Presidents Cup is presented annually to the institution which accumulates the most points in conference competition among the 15 sports sponsored. It is based on final regular-season order of finish for the team sports and the conference tournament/meet finish in individual sports.
