Penn State Behrend Partners With PrestoSports to Launch New Athletics Web Site

Penn State Behrend has partnered with PrestoSports to launch a new athletics web site. The new home for the Behrend Lions launched today, January 4, 2010, at www.psblions.com.

Behrend's new site launched with a unique new design and a number of innovative features. Some of the distinctive features implemented on psblions.com include video clips, a headlines area with five different stories cycling through and plenty of content for fans of all 21 Behrend Lions sports. You can access the new site at psblions.com and through the athletics tab of behrend.psu.edu.

"The psblions.com website will be a welcome addition for our student-athletes, fans, alumni, and the media," said Assistant Sports Information Director, Phil Pisano. We're excited about the updated look and the many new features, which brings Penn State Behrend in line with many of the top Division III college athletic websites."

PrestoSports' services and technology will allow fans and others to quickly find information about the school's teams. Now part of the PrestoSports Network, scores entered into the web site through traditional or mobile entry systems will immediately update the web site's schedules, and national media sites such as d3hoops, d3soccer, and d3baseball.

Penn State Behrend offers 21 varsity sports, 11 for women and 10 for men. All sports compete at the NCAA Division III level and most participate in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC).  "PrestoSports is a leader in athletic web sites and provide a web content management system," said Behrend Sports Information Director Paul Benim. "We believe this relationship will enhance the coverage of our athletic teams and athletes that play so hard for the Behrend Lions."
