ERIE, Pa. - On Saturday, January 14, the Penn State Behrend baseball program, contributed volunteer hours to Habitat for Humanity.
The baseball program provided two groups of 12 players and coaches to continue work on a home refurbishing. The group combined to donate a full staff covering an eight hour work day by completing some mudding, sanding, and painting of the interior of a home.
"This is a terrific way for our program to give back to the Erie community," said twentieth year head coach Paul Benim. "We were able to make a difference for a local family by doing a little work. It was a great day for all of us. Habitat for Humanity is an organization that does some amazing things assisting families."
