Men's Golf Wins Hilbert Invitational
Zack Polanski and Dante Vetica were the top two medalist to lead Penn State Behrend men’s golf team to a first place finish at the Hilbert Invitational on Friday afternoon.
HAMBURG, NY – Zack Polanski (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) and Dante Vetica (Hermitage, PA/Kennedy Catholic) were the top two medalist to lead Penn State Behrend men's golf team to a first place finish at the Hilbert Invitational on Friday afternoon.
Polanski led the field of 30 with an overall low score of 76, while Vetica was one stroke behind with a 77 for second place. The Lions gathered a team total of 320 to win the invitational. Pitt-Bradford came in second with a 335 and Medaille was third with a 338 total.
Freshman Dakota Tabar (Conneaut Lake, PA/Conneaut Lake) had the third best score of the squad with an 83. Dean Rainville (Erie, PA/McDowell) and Nicholas VanDamia (Erie, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) both carded an 84 on the day.
The Lions return to action on Friday at Mt. Aloysius. Tee time is 12 p.m.
