Conley Named AMCC Player of the Week
Penn State Behrend senior center Russ Conley has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, announced on Monday.
ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend senior center Russ Conley (Transfer, PA/Reynolds) has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, announced on Monday.
In five games over the holiday break, Conley led the Lions (9-4, 5-1 AMCC) to a 4-1 record. He averaged 17.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game while shooting over 65 percent from the floor. Conley was also tabbed to the Smokey Ballenger All-Tournament Team after leading Behrend to a victory in the consolation game. Conley is the AMCC leader in points per game (21.0) and field goal percentage (63%) and ranks second in rebounds per game (9.3).
The Lions will be back in action on Saturday. Behrend will host La Roche at 4 p.m.
