Meehl Named NSCAA All-Great Lakes Third Team
Penn State Behrend men’s soccer senior midfielder Aaron Meehl has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Great Lakes third team.
Erie, Pa. – Penn State Behrend men’s soccer senior midfielder Aaron Meehl (North East, PA/North East) has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Great Lakes third team.
After helping the Lions to their fifth Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) championship and a trip to the NCAA tournament, Meehl brought home the honor for the third straight year.
Meehl started every game, tallying 16 points on six goals and four assists. During the season, the midfielder surpassed the 20 career-goal plateau as well as eclipsing 50 career points.
Meehl wrapped up his career as one of the most accomplished players in school history. He ranks seventh all-time in games played (80) and sixth in career points (57). The senior is also tied for sixth all-time in goals (22) and tied for fourth in career assists (13). Meehl was also named First-Team All-AMCC for the second consecutive year.
