Men’s Tennis Earns Bid to NCAA Tournament
The Penn State Behrend men’s tennis team is set to travel to Gambier, Ohio for the NCAA Division III Tournament.
ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men’s tennis team is set to travel to Gambier, Ohio for the NCAA Division III Tournament.
The Lions (8-10) are set to play Kalamazoo (10-11) at the Jasper Tennis Center on Friday at 2 p.m. The Hornets won the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) regular season and postseason tournament. Kalamazoo has played in every NCAA Division III Tournament since 1976.
Behrend enters the 43-team field as the champion of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC). The Lions earned the AMCC’s first ever automatic bid to the tournament.
The Winner of Friday’s match will move on to face Mary Washington (15-12) on Saturday.
