Men's and Women's Track Competes at Allegheny
The Penn State Behrend men's and women's track and field teams competed at the sixth annual Gator Invitational hosted by Allegheny College on Friday.
MEADVILLE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend men's and women's track and field teams competed at the sixth annual Gator Invitational hosted by Allegheny College on Friday.
On the women's side, two Lions had top-five performances. Victoria Harwood (Fair Haven, NJ/Rumson-Fair Haven) placed fourth in the pole vault at 3.55m. In the 800m run, Katie Spade (Warren, PA/Warren) took home fifth place. Spade crossed the finish line at 2:17.51.
Four different athletes on the men's team had top-10 finishes in the field events. Conor MacMannis (Fredericksburg, VA/Kubeszki) led the way with a first place finish in the high jump. MacMannis cleared 1.93m.
Dylan Bilka (Seven Fields, PA/Seneca Valley) took second place in the pole vault. Bilka cleared 4.85m. In the discus throw, John Cerminara (Williamsburg, VA/Jamestown) placed fifth with a distance of 47.98m. Geoffrey Faltot (Mercer, PA/Mercer) took ninth in the long jump at 6.40m.
