Bilka Earns USTFCCCA Honorable Mention Athlete of the Week

Sophomore Dylan Bilka was named an Honorable Mention Division III Male Athlete of the Week by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, announced on Monday.

ERIE, Pa. – Sophomore Dylan Bilka (Seven Fields, PA/Seneca Valley) was named an Honorable Mention Division III Male Athlete of the Week by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), announced on Monday.

On Friday at the Allegheny Gator Invitational, Bilka battled through some tough weather conditions to break the school record in the pole vault.  Bilka cleared 5.05m (16-6¾) for first place in the event that included the 2013 NCAA Indoor Champion.  The height also marked the third-best height in all of Division III this year.

Bilka and the Lions will be back in action on Thursday and Friday at the ECAC Outdoor Championships.
