Khan, Veit Named All-American

ERIE, Pa. – Junior Ali Khan (Lake Zurich, IL/Stevenson) and freshman Kody Veit (Harleysville, PA/Souderton) have been named to the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) 2011 Division III All-American team.  They both earned honorable mention accolades for their outstanding play during the 2011 season.

Khan, a 2010 ACWPC Honorable Mention All-American, led the team with 36 goals on 92 shots.  Khan recorded 15 steals, eight drawn kickouts, and seven field blocks.  Khan currently ranks in the Top-10 in school history in career goals, assists, drawn penalty shots, and drawn ejections.

Veit was just behind Khan with 35 goals while recording 12 assists in his rookie year.  He led the team with nine penalty shots and was second with nine field blocks.  During the season, Veit was also honored as the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Southern Division Rookie of the Week.
