Stefania Pontillo Named Enterprise Rent-A-Car Athlete of the Week

Stefania Pontillo (Erie/McDowell) has been named the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Athlete of the Week for the week of April 26, 2010.

Pontillo is coming off a week in which she was named Collegiate Water Polo Association Division III Player and Rookie of the Week.  Pontillo contributed three goals and four steals in the 6-4 victory over the Chatham University Cougars.  Behrend trailed 4-1 at half before she would take charge and score two goals in the third quarter to bring the game to within one.  She would put the final touches on the game with her third score with 3:12 remaining on the clock and secure the victory for the Behrend Lions.  The freshman would go on to grab four steals in the game, including three in the most important fourth quarter.

The Behrend Lions recently competed in the CWPA Division III Championship and came out of it at 1-4.  The Behrend Lions defeated Utica College for the third time this season.

The Penn State Behrend Enterprise Rent-A-Car Athlete of the Week is selected by the Penn State Behrend Sports Information Athletic Staff.
