Spooner Named All-Conference

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – Penn State Behrend junior MaryEllen Spooner (Springfield, VA/West Springfield) has been named to the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III All-Conference Second Team, announced on Friday.

Spooner has been a dominant force for the Lions all season.  Heading into the Division III Championships this weekend at Grove City, Spooner is the team’s leading scorer with 31 goals.  She has dished out 15 assists and leads the team with 56 steals on the defensive end.

Spooner, a two-time Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) All-American, currently sits in second place in school history with 98 career goals, third in career steals (153), and fourth in career assists (40).
