Five Runners Named All-Conference
ERIE, Pa. – After taking second place at the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championship meet, five runners on the Penn State Behrend women's cross country team have been named First-Team All-Conference.
Three Lions were honored for the second straight year. Sophomores Catie Bertges (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) and Haley Hughes (Cochranton, PA/Cochranton) along with junior Katie Patterson (Erie, PA/Villa Maria) were each first-team runners a year ago.
Freshmen Zofia Stark (Erie, PA/Erie) and Carrie Chelich (Hobart, IN/Hobart) each took home the award after placing fourth and 10th respectively at the AMCC meet. Chelich was also named the AMCC Newcomer of the Year.
