Bertges Named AMCC Runner of the Week

ERIE, Pa. - Sophomore Catie Bertges (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) women's cross country Runner of the Week.

Bertges led the the way for the Lions, helping the team to win the 2011 Behrend Invitational.  Bertges set a career best time (18:40) en route to capturing the individual title.  In two meets this season, Bertges has paced Behrend with a 13th and first-place finish.

The Lions will be back in action on Saturday at the Robert Wesleyan Invitational.  Start time is 11 a.m.
