ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's volleyball team swept Carlow and defeated St. John Fisher in four sets on Saturday afternoon in the Junker Center.
Match One
Score: Penn State Behrend 3, Carlow 0 (25-14, 25-15, 25-15)
Records: Penn State Behrend (9-5, 4-1 AMCC), Carlow (0-18, 0-6 AMCC)
Key Moments:
* Behrend hit .403 with double-digit kills in each set and eight team blocks
* Will Streicher led with a season-best nine kills, knocking down four in the first set and five in the second
* Tarendran Heyward had a match-high 16 assists and four digs
* Eddie Cebula, Lewis Rhodes and Heyward each tallied five kills
* Rafe Hankey registered a season-best 15 assists
* In the first set, Behrend took a 20-9 lead and got the set point off a Streicher assist
* The Lions did not take the double-digit lead in the second until the end at 25-15
* Cebula and Mason Anderson posted three kills apiece in the second set to help Behrend take a two-set lead
* Heyward had three of the final four kills for the Lions in the third to get an identical score of 25-15 for the AMCC win

Score: Penn State Behrend 3, St. John Fisher 1 (25-23, 29-27, 18-25, 25-21)

Key Moments:
* The first two sets combined had 25 ties and four leads changes that went in Behrend's favor
* With the first set tied at 23-all, Daniel Easly knocked in a kill and the Lions took the set on a block by Easly and Rhodes
* Behrend had match point five times in the second and broke through with a kill from Wilcox and a block by Wilcox and Joseph Sciscio to win 29-27
* The Cardinals did not trail in the third to attempt a comeback with a 25-18 third set
* The Lions used five solo blocks and two assists in the fourth set to collect the non-conference win
* Wilcox contributed four kills and Rhodes added three in the final set
* Wilcox led with a season-high 18 kills while Mason Anderson posted a season-best 11 digs
* Easly posted 10 kills and six digs
* Sciscio hit .571 with five digs and three blocks
* Rhodes added five kills, three digs and two blocks
* Head Coach Phil Pisano is now three wins away from reaching 200 for his career with the men's team
